誰能連續在2004、2005、2006這3年間成為英國金榜年度最暢銷的英國女藝人?誰是2006年歐洲唱片市場中獨霸一方的歐洲女藝人?她的名字叫做凱特瑪露。這個風靡歐陸的獨特女聲開口演唱的時候，你會驚訝於她那副可以隨性的擺盪於流行樂、都會民謠、傳統藍調、摩登爵士等類型音樂之間的嗓子，怎能把歌曲化作一種很自然的生活情感表達。

凱特瑪露，1984年出生於喬治亞共和國，有一回，英國傳奇音樂人麥可貝特(Mike Batt)到凱特所就讀的倫敦表演藝術學校尋求組成一支爵士樂團的可能性，凱特就在這場學校的試唱會中演唱了自己為英國女歌手Eva Cassidy英年早逝所創作的歌曲，貝特聽過之後深受感動，馬上就把她簽到自己的Dramatico唱片公司旗下，傳奇於是展開。而凱特的首張專輯「Call Off The Search」，全球累積銷售突破300萬張，專輯中的單曲"The Closest Thing To Crazy"也拿下英國金榜TOP10的好成績。

在環遊歐美兩大洲巡迴開唱空檔，凱特以旅遊隨筆的方式把心中的感觸譜寫成歌曲，這些歌曲就成就了她這第2張專輯【Piece By Piece真情剪影】，凱特表示，此張專輯依然有著喬治亞民謠跟當代藍調音樂的味道，歌曲之中都蘊藏著不太容易散去的傷感因子，整張專輯就在這樣變成了一張淡藍色的心情小品。

不過我整張聽下來，我就只喜歡這兩首歌而已。
